| Hello, I'm a refugee from Fuji too, but there I am known as Andrew. What's happening in Bedford do you think? Fuji seem to be in a bit of a muddle. | |

Personally I don't use MyFinePix all that much anyway so it doesn't really affect me all the trouble they've been having.

| Welcome "Andrew" Denham.... This site looks like it could be good once it kicks off, there seems to be a small trickle of new members mainly fuji migrants.....and as for Myfinepix..?? it does get i bit frustrating at times... | |

| Thanks for the welcome. I am just about to start four long shifts in a row, so will have to wait 'till the middle of next week before embarking on the adventure of setting up a photobucket account and getting some pics in here for you to look at. My preferred camera at the moment is an old Canon 400D but, because my grand daughter received rather a nice compact for Christmas, we have been messing around with panoramic photographs..
Which forum should I use for panoramics do you think?

Which forum should I use for panoramics do you think? Personally , I think it depends what you have taken a panoramic of...I f its a( "city or land " scape) use the Landscape forum... or a panoramic of an inner city ? maybe use the Street or Urbex forums ... Someone else may have different ideas??/

| Welcome Andrew, I think like many others people are bailing out and looking for somewhere else to call home, such a shame, but all we seem to get is apologies, no real explanation or even an indication that they intend to do something to improve things. I still inhabit the lower levels photography wise, but am considering buying a XS-1 sometime soon, bit of a joke really that we stay loyal to the brand even when they cannot even run a members website properly ,I may not even be able to register it at this rate. | |

| Some times it's a case of "better the devil you know". Must confess I've never even checked if the likes of Cannon and Nikon have a similar site,,,perhaps I should!!!!! In the mean time I'll give this site a go....I keep meaning to go to the Local Photographic group but never seem to get there, I'm always afraid they will be sat there with their mega cameras and lens with all the kit that goes with them and snigger when i pull out my bridge camera with extreme budget tripod. Anyway.......welcome...and don't work too hard on your shifts. | |

| You must think the same as me Ady, although I am sure that there must be like minded people who also think like we do and are really helpfull, guys like Ray over on Myfinepix and of course Mike Hardisty who did help me with an HDR enquiry I asked him about some time back. Where these sort of clubs can fail is when it becomes a posing ground for the purists and those who will not embrace changes. It is like people who will only shoot in Raw or only in Jpeg and ignore the benefits that each can give, or those that instantly dismiss any manipulation while ignoring the fact their camera does it all the time and it is only a matter of degree. So like you I keep thinking about it and then failing to follow it through. | |
